5 Tips When Selecting The Right Paint Brush For The Job

Look for a sturdy handle and ferrule:

Look for a metal ferrule that is nailed into the wood handle. A poorly designed brush will have a ferrule that is machine stamped onto a plastic handle.  Over time this poor design becomes unstable and can cause the ferrule to move around, and even fall apart.
 Look for good bristle quality:

Feel the tip. The bristles should be soft, smooth and not slip or fuzzy ends.  Should also vary in lenth with a nice angle as they come to a slip tip.  Should be densely packed all the way through the ferrule and not have any spaces.  Without a dense enough amount of bristles, voids will fill with paint and create a mess.
